This reading was done December 26, 2010, using my own self-designed 18-card Yearly Theme Spread. I shuffled the deck 20X, and let the cards cut where they naturally fell. I also use Joan Bunning’s Learning Tarot Reversals (my favorite Tarot book of the moment).
General: the first half of 2010 will see financial gains, while the second half of 2010 will see financial reverses/losses. It also looks like there will be a major impasse on a major issue which will be blocked in its progress until December, 2010, when the country will be ready to make a decision and take real action.
Yearly Theme: Queen of Cups. Many in the United States will grow spiritually during this year.
First Quarter Theme: Knight of Pentacles. Evidence of hard work will be evident.
January, 2010: Ten of Pentacles. The stock market may see its high for the year in January. A time of affluence, and flourishing ventures.
February, 2010: 8 of Cups. A time of deeper meaning, when people are feeling burned out.
March, 2010. Ace of Pentacles, Reversed. The prosperity and optimism of January are fading. Investments are not being rewarded. Someone is not telling the truth about something.
Second Quarter Theme – Judgement Reversed. A decision is not being made; a ruling is not available. No one is making an assessment. Lack of conviction to a course of action.
April, 2010: 6 of Swords. Time for the blues. Travel is an important factor. A recovery is beginning.
May, 2010: King of Wands. Creative, bold actions are now evident. Someone is acting as a leader, director, or commander.
June, 2010: 6 of Pentacles. Questions of balancing resources and power, of knowledge, and of supply and demand are now important.
Third Quarter Theme: 7 of Pentacles, Reversed. No assessment is being made; there is no attempt to check results. No close examination of the situation is being done. No payoff at the moment, no sign of appreciaton. A change in direction is NOT happening, because a change of course is being BLOCKED.
July, 2010: High Priestess. A time of nonaction. Events are unfolding on their own.
August, 2010: Queen of Pentacles, Reversed. The country’s mood is NOT supportive, generous, practical, or reliable.
September, 2010: 6 of Cups. A time of goodwill, with people sharing in offering support. Focus on childhood, children, babies, or new projects.
Fourth Quarter Theme: 10 of Wands. A time of over-extending, of trying to do too much. Someone’s shouldering most of the work. Burdens are piling up, and there are too many responsibilities. It’s an uphill fight.
October, 2010: 8 of Wands, Reversed. Little is happening. Plans are NOT being carried out. The situation is NOT getting resolved. No news at the moment.
November, 2010: The Lovers, Reversed. A union is not happening. The U.S. is NOT in a working relationship. Values are not a high priority now.
December, 2010: 8 of Pentacles, Reversed. No one is working hard now. People are not industrious. There is little attention to detail. Someone is not being careful. All the loose ends are not being handled.
Year-End Theme: 2 of Swords, Reversed. Defenses are not working. People are not blocking their emotions. Pretending is not possible now. Choosing ignorance is not an option. A resolution is now possible because people are no longer afraid to make a decision.
