Even if we win, we lose

I have to say, I don’t quite understand why conservatives get so paranoid about “leftists” coming in and changing everything. Take the US Democrats, with their unassailable “super majority” in Congress and their spectacularly popular new President, and how they’ve managed to piss away meaningful health care reform and pretty much completely capitulated to the morally-bankrupt ideologues the voters explicitly rejected less than a year ago.

Watch Jon Stewart almost weep with disbelief:

Seriously, American “democracy” is even more broken than I previously thought – even with the limited choice the people get, their wishes are still ignored. And yet it’s those they rejected, who are nonetheless getting their own stupid, nasty, destructive, incomprehensibly selfish and sociopathic way, who are squealing like stuck pigs.

Come on, righties – at least when your guys in, they do what you want. They cut taxes for the rich and invade other countries. They certainly don’t pander to us, their opponents. Ours, they pander to you, too. Heads you win, tails we lose.

You could at least be gracious about it.
